3468425112_3fa493243aInternet marketing is very much like life.  I feel that each person has his internet marketing path.  No two people travel the same exact path.

I am traveling the path that is mine alone.  I have basically arrived at this point by following my own inner guide.  I can tell when something I find or some product I see calls me.  It is usually the product that I need to follow up and expand on the step that I was at.  I usually find the next gem that I need to learn to further my internet marketing endeavor.  I encounter what I need to grow to the next level of expertise, and this is the path I usually take.  Yes, usually the next step is presented right in front of me by some unknown magic.  Isn’t that just like life?

Every day I find a new piece to the internet marketing puzzle.  I have learned to follow my gut and go with it.

There are wonderful internet marketing products out there.  Recently someone that I admire a lot was talking about a great product.  So I thought I’d check it out.  I am sure it is wonderful, just not for me at the moment.

I think I am learning not to get distracted with “shiny things” that just take me off my path, and that is good.

There are thousands of distractions in internet marketing.  At first, it is hard, because you don’t know enough to know what will help you and what to leave.

If you are an internet marketer there are some things that you will need:  you will need an autoresponder to build your list, you will need a keyword tool to do keyword research, and you will need to pick a plan of action.

Writing internet marketing articles is a great plan which produces results.  So if that is your plan then focus on that and on any product that may help you in what you are trying to accomplish at the moment.  For example, focus on products which teach you about setting up a profitable plan of action with internet marketing articles.

Internet Marketing Articles: Optimize Your Articles

Internet marketing articles are used to promote products and services on the internet.  People write articles to advertise specific products.  The articles usually contain information which is relevant to their product, but not necessarily about the product itself.  When you write about a specific product, that would be considered a product review.

The purpose of internet marketing articles is to drive traffic to the product website.  In order to do this there are things to take into consideration to make your article more visible to the search engines in order to be moved up the ranks and consequently drive more traffic to your website .  This is called Search Engine Optimization or “SEO”.  SEO is an internet marketing strategy that takes into consideration what the search engines use to rank articles, as well as what people are looking for in their searches.

What we want to accomplish with search engine optimization is to be at the top of the organic, or unpaid, search results of the search engines.  That is our goal.  This is where we will stand to make the most profit from our internet marketing articles.

So how do we optimize our internet marketing articles for the search engines?

Keywords

We need to make our internet marketing articles as targeted as possible.  This way they are easily picked up and categorized by the search engines.

  • Keywords are what tell the search engines what your article is about, so they can put your article in the right category.  These are the words that you are going to use to build your article around.
  • You have to find the keywords that people are using to search for the specific products on the internet.  You want to have keywords in your articles that are going to bring back search results.  The more people that search for your chosen keyword in your article, the more chances of exposure your article has.

  • Your internet marketing article should be researched for keywords that will have a chance to rank high.  This depends not only on the number of searches for a keyword, but also in the amount of competition that it has as well.  Even if a word has many searches, it is better to stay away from those keywords that are very general and have a lot of competition.  It will be very hard to rank in the first page for such words.

  • Preferably choose keywords that have at least 1000 monthly searches and under 35,000 competing results.  You will need a keyword tool to research your keywords.

Article

  • Include your keyword in the title of your article, as well as your first sentence and the last sentence of your last paragraph of your internet marketing article.  You may sprinkle it throughout the article, but don’t overdo it.  The article should read well. 

  • Also include your keyword in your article summary.  This is the blurb that will be visible in the search results of the search engines.  This summary should entice the reader to click through to your article.
  • Use your keyword in the anchor text links to your product.  In other words if your keyword is “dog training” that is the word that you should make as anchor text to click to get to your product website.

Backlinks

The search engines need to know that our articles are popular, in order to rank them higher.

  • Backlinks are links that point back to your internet marketing articles.  These backlinks can be from many different websites.  The more backlinks you have, the more popular your article is in the eyes of the search engines because it tells them that other websites are interested in you.  This is important to the search engines, as they want to provide their customers with the best content. 

  • Backlinks from higher page ranks and more established sites are more powerful than from lower ranking websites and will help your article move up farther in the search engine rankings.

  • Create backlinks by visiting blogs in your niche and making valuable posts.  You then leave a link back to your article or website, along with your post.  Niche-related links are more effective than backlinks from non-related niches.

  • Post your internet marketing articles in social bookmarking sites, and soon you will have other blogs linking to your articles, if you are providing value.  This can create an invaluable amount of backlinks. 

Content

Content refers to the value of your article.  You should always provide great information for your readers.  This is the first step in getting the search engines to look at your internet marketing articles.  No matter how much keyword research and other strategies you are applying, content is king.  No search engine will have your article on top if you are not providing useful information that their readers will want.

Make your internet marketing articles powerful.  Why not optimize them to the fullest?  Use every single strategy above.  Don’t leave any stones unturned, and you will have the attention of the search engines.

Keywords tool: Identify the Profitable Keywords

internet-marketingUsing a keywords tool is essential to keyword research in internet marketing.  You use keywords in every form of promotion.  Internet marketers need to know what their client niche is looking for in order to be able to reach their targeted audience.

Keywords are the words that are typed into the search bars by people looking for information.  When these keywords are typed the search engines will produce results of documents which are tagged with those words.  So if you have an article that has the keywords that someone types in the search bar, you have a chance of coming up in the search engine results.

For internet marketers it is important to know which words are going to give you the best profit.  So you have to choose keywords accordingly.

The buying cycle has three stages.  Therefore keyword research is done accordingly:

  1. Browsing stage. At this stage people are just starting to gather information.  The keywords that they use are not targeted.  They are general keywords, such as “dog training”.  They are not sure what specific type of training they are searching for.The keywords at this stage get the most traffic and the most competition.  They are also the most expensive and have the lowest click through rate and the lowest conversion rate.So this is not a good stage to target your niche at.  It can be very costly and risky.
  2. Comparing stage.  Here, people are more educated on their search and are starting to develop ideas of what it is they want.  They are starting to look at certain products.  The keywords here are narrower, more targeted, such as “dog leash training vs. dog clicker training”, or even narrower by identifying and comparing two products by name.Keywords at this stage are more targeted.  They get average traffic and competition.  The cost of keywords is also lower.  The click through rate is higher than in stage one, and the conversion is also higher.This stage can be profitable.
  3. Buying stage.  This is the most targeted stage.  People here are ready to buy and have a pretty good idea of what they are looking for.  At this stage they will search for specific products.  They are usually looking at a specific product by product name and brand.The keywords for this stage are the most targeted.  Long tail keywords, specific to products are used at this stage.  These keywords are specific, they are low cost, and have low volume of searches.  They have the least traffic and least competition.  However, they produce the highest click through rate, as well as the highest conversion.This is the stage that is most profitable to target.  Most super affiliates usually concentrate on this stage.

For any kind of promotion in internet marketing, this keyword research is essential.  This is the foundation of all your campaigns, whether you target your niche at stage 1, 2 or 3.

It is very important to use a keywords tool for targeted keywords results.  A tool should help you identify the number of searches as well as your competition, in order for you to make an educated decision.  Once you have this information, you are ready to start your promotion.

How To Make Money Online with Affiliate Programs

Making money online with affiliate programs is by far the easiest way to make money on the internet.  You don’t need to have a website, although you can.  You don’t need a product either.  All you need is to sign up to the affiliate programs of your choice and promote someone else’s product through your affiliate link.

Here is how you make money online with affiliate programs:

  1. Find a product that you like.  Go to Clickbank and find a product that is already selling.  The top products in the search results are the ones that are selling the most.  You have to register at Clickbank in order to get your affiliate link.  This is the link that you will use to promote the product.
  2. Find keywords for your product.  These are the words that you are going to use in your article to promote your product.  So you have to choose keywords that relate to your product.  You can use the free Google keyword tool or other keyword tools. Try to pick a keyword or keywords that have at least 1000 monthly searches and low competition.
  3. Write an article using the keyword of your choice.  Make sure to include the keyword in the title of the article, the first paragraph and the last paragraph.  You may sprinkle it throughout the article as well.
  4. At the end of the article have a call to action to guide the reader to your link.  This link is your affiliate link, which will take them to the salespage of the product you are promoting.  If they buy the product through your affiliate link, you make a commission.
  5. Distribute your article.  Post your article in article directories, such as Ezine Articles, GoArticles, Searchwrap.  Also post your article on social bookmarking sites such as Delicious, Digg and Reddit.  You should also distribute your articles to ezines, which are membership newsletters online.  You want as much distribution as possible to get exposure to your article.
  6. Get a Wordpress blog.  Get a domain name that includes the keyword(s) you are targeting for your product.  Post your article on your blog.  Keep writing articles with your targeted keywords and posting them on your blog.  Google loves Wordpress blogs, and you will have a good chance to get indexed and ranked with your blog.
  7. Create backlinks for your articles.  Backlinks are links that point back to your articles and your blog.  Visit other blogs and make comments on their articles and leave a link back to your articles, without spamming. This will create more popularity for your blog, which is what the search engines are interested in.  The more popular your blog becomes, the more exposure your articles will get, and the better chances of selling your product.
  8. Create different blogs for other niches/products that you find of interest.  Remember, the more targeted the blog, the better.  Don’t mix different topics on your blog, or google will not know what it is about and will have a hard time indexing it.

If you follow this simple method you will have thousands of targeted articles on the internet within a few months and will be making money online with affiliate programs that you choose.  It is my favorite way of online marketing, and produces great results.

Internet Marketing Articles: Writing for Profit

I write internet marketing articles every day.  I like to write my own articles.  I never use private label rights material.  I have tried a couple of times, and it just doesn’t work for me.

I enjoy my internet marketing career.  I enjoy learning new things every day.  If I can just concentrate for a few moments I find that there are always new things that I have learned that I can write about.  It’s good for me to write about what I learn and make my knowledge and my thoughts clearer in my mind as I share them.

Every person creates an image for himself as an internet marketer.  If I used someone else’s ideas then I am not building my image and am not adding to my own foundation as an internet marketer.  I would just be taking someone else’s ideas and theories and pretending to make them mine.  I don’t like to write about anything that I don’t really understand.

I feel that with every internet marketing article that I write I am building my brand and making my contribution to the online world.  I like sharing what I learn and feeling that I may be able to help others.    I put every one of my articles on my blogs and I am sure anyone can tell they are written by the same person, me.

The most important thing in internet marketing articles is content.  If you have great content it will come across to the reader and chances are they will want to do business with you.  So, while the call to action should be strong for the product you are promoting in your article, the information that you leave the reader with is going to determine his interest in clicking your link most of the time.

Most people on the internet do repeat business with people they come to trust.  If your articles are consistently filled with useful information, this will carry a good message to your readers.  They will get to trust your valuable information and will want to buy from you.

The only tool that I need to write internet marketing articles is a keyword tool.  Keyword research is important for the search engines to categorize your articles.  After I choose my keyword it is time to write.

I use my keyword in my article and refer to a product that I want to promote which is related to that keyword.  At the end of my article I will let my reader know how that product will help him by offering a solution that he needs.

You can create a business by just writing internet marketing articles.  Article marketing can be very viral.  You want as much exposure as you can get for your articles.

If you write an article every day and submit it to article directories, ezines and social bookmarking sites, after just one month you will probably have 30,000 copies of your articles on the internet carrying your links to your products and your website.  Of course, the more you write, the more exposure and traffic you will create.

Your Internet Marketing Plan: Plan Your Success

It is very important to have your internet marketing plan.  You have to plan your own success story.  There are a million internet marketing strategies to learn and many ways to make money online.  You have to figure out which is the path you are going to take.

Most internet marketers are people who like to have their own lifestyle.  They do not want to work for others.  Some have worked in the corporate world and do not care to go back to a 9 to 5 existence.  They would rather be their own boss, and establish their own online business.

What The Truth Is

There are a million different ways to make money online, and you are bombarded daily with hundreds of ways.  Everyone proclaims that their product is going to make you the next millionaire.  Gurus and others build up launches with a lot of hype and want to make you believe that this is the product that will finally give you the wealth and prosperity which all of us are searching for.

This is the reason why you have to have an internet marketing plan.  This is not true.  Yes, there are some good products and some bad products, and some might help you more than others.  But the truth is that no one product is going to make you rich.  The truth is that only you are going to make yourself rich when you acquire enough knowledge and experience by putting in your time.  Then, if you are able to create your own internet marketing plan that suits you and can apply what you have learned, you will succeed.

It Is Your Plan

Everyone has to go through a learning curve in internet marketing to arrive at their own plan.  You have to try the different strategies and learn from them.  Then you can apply different techniques that work well for you.  This way you start creating your own internet marketing plan.

No two internet marketers follow the exact same internet marketing plan.  This is because we really like to choose what we like to do.  And we should.  We do internet marketing so we can do what we like.  I don’t think any internet marketer would last if he was not doing what he likes.

That is why it’s important to figure it out for yourself.  You can have mentors and guidance along the way, and you should.  Internet Marketing can be tough if you have no one to turn to.  But the real art is when you start thinking outside the box.  This is when you start making it.  Every good internet marketer must think outside the box to succeed.  And this comes with learning and testing your skills.  No one else can do it for you.

The Preparation

The first few months or year of a serious internet marketer are pretty much devoted to learning.  While you learn you also practice what you are learning.  Basically, most people learn about article writing, keyword research and creating websites.  You learn to use and HTML editor and an FTP program.  During this phase you will probably not earn a whole lot of money.  But it is very important to learn and to start implementing your knowledge.

You have to have persistence to be an internet marketer.  Sometimes you may feel like throwing in the towel.  Some days can seem like nothing is going well, and you are not getting anywhere.  It might feel like you can’t think, you can’t write.  But this is the trick.  If you persist, if you keep putting forth your best effort, it happens.  And you become an internet marketer.

Your Mindset

It is very important to have a positive mindset.  Learn from every situation.  Have an open mind and listen to new ideas.  But you must also know when to just focus on one thing and not let yourself get distracted by so many different offers and products.

By the end of the first year, you will probably have an internet marketing plan.  If you have put in your time and dedication you will have developed a solid plan to build wealth.  It is very probable that you will have found how it is that you are supposed to make your money, and it will be very clear.

Your internet marketing plan will consist of your ideas and skills that you have developed during your preparation period.  It may take less or it may take more, but you will know when you are ready to bring your brand and take your leadership role, as only you can fill this role.  And yes, this is when the fun starts.

Internet Marketing Success: Add Value

Internet marketing success depends a lot on bringing value to the table.  There are some people that always have solid advice and share about it.  These people attract a lot of followers.  I find the best value in internet marketing forums.

I love internet marketing forums.  They are very interactive and a lot of really great internet marketers congregate there.  Everybody shares their knowledge and insights, and it is an incredible source of education and also a great place to build relationships with other internet marketers.

There are rules to follow in every forum, and people will get called on it or sometimes even banned for breaking these rules.

The other day an “old timer” in one of these forums (or at least a very respected member) made a post outlining a few things that people, especially newbies, were doing which were unacceptable.  He talked about trashing people, which of course is a bad thing.  However, he also talked about posting inadequate posts, talking about a product that you are promoting as an affiliate.  This is something you are not supposed to do.

After reading this post, which was applauded by many on the forum, I did some soul searching and realized that I was not in complete agreement with what he was saying.  Moreover, I myself had experienced being at the wrong end of one of these so called “product advertisement” posts, which was completely misunderstood.

I had only asked on the forum regarding a product which I really had an interest in getting opinions on.  I was hesitating on whether to buy the product or not.  I was not an affiliate or had any other connection to the product.  I thought the forum was the perfect place to get great feedback and make up my mind if I was going to buy the product.

My post was immediately deleted.  I asked the support desk why this had happened and received no reply.  I suspected they thought I was promoting the product, but it was never made clear to me.

So I got up my courage and made a post in this thread started by the “old timer”.  I stood up for newbies and explained what had happened to me as an example that everything is not necessarily black and white.  I further explained that “newbies” do not necessarily want to do the wrong thing, they are just learning, and sometimes mistakes are made.

I was flooded by great responses to my post.  Many people thanked me for bringing up something which was of value to this thread.  Even the “old timer” that started the original thread thanked me.  It really felt great to have been able to add value.  If I had not had the courage to stand up for what I believed, I would not have experienced this appreciation.  Moreover, I made a valuable point, which was well received.

Internet marketing success is gained one step at a time.  You will not be a success overnight.  Always seek to add value.  You will be recognized.  Internet marketers are very aware of solid internet marketers.  Since the internet is so huge, you have to stand out on your own merits and gain the trust of others. The mark of a great internet marketer is in the value he adds.

Earning Money from Home: Some Simple Ways to Make Money

More and more people are turning to the internet and earning money from home.  The internet is the world’s largest marketplace.  There are many who have made fortunes on the internet and many more who are also trying to make a living by mastering the world of internet marketing.

Many people have turned to the internet because they have lost their jobs in this bad economy.  Others just do not want to work in the corporate world anymore.  They want to be able to manage their own time and be their own boss.  They want to have their own business, and the internet offers endless possibilities for earning money from home.

Getting Started

To start earning money from home you have to be prepared to put in the time and dedication to build up your business.  You have to lay down the foundation and build over a period of time.   Most people struggle for a few months and even a few years before they are able to start seeing significant results from their efforts in internet marketing.  A lot of people give up before they ever get to this point.

To make money on the internet you have to sell a product.  It can be your own product or it can be somebody else’s product that you are selling as an affiliate.  It is easier to start out selling an affiliate product, and learn the various strategies that you can use to promote your products.

Affiliate Marketing

To sell affiliate products is very easy.  All you have to do is go to Clickbank, Paydotcom or Amazon and pick out products that you would like to promote.  There you can get your affiliate links to the products that you choose.  You promote that link, which carries your affiliate code.  When the buyer clicks on that link, it will take him to a salespage for the product you are promoting.  Any sales made through your affiliate link will be credited to you, and you will earn a commission.

Private Label Rights Products

When you have acquired some experience on the internet, you can learn how to make your own products.  For example, there are many private label rights products that are already created.  You can buy a private label rights product and edit it and assume authorship of the product.  This is a very easy way to have your own product.  When you sell this product you keep 100 percent of the profits.

Master Resale Rights and Resale Rights

You can also acquire master resale rights and resale rights products.  You are not allowed to edit these products or assume authorship, but you can still resell them and keep all the profits.  With master resale rights you can pass on resale rights to your buyer, and they can also pass them on and on, enabling each buyer to sell the product as well.  Resale rights gives you the right to resell a product without passing on rights to your buyer.

Make Your Own Product

You can make your own product.  Creating an ebook does not have to be hard.  There are some easy guidelines to follow that can produce great results.  Of course, creating your own product will require research and planning.  Here are the basic steps:

  1. Pick a niche.
  2. Find the keywords that rank high in your niche.
  3. Find out if these keywords are making money.
  4. Create your chapter titles by addressing 5 or 6 questions that people in your niche are asking.
  5. Find articles in article directories that deal with these topics that you have selected.
  6. Gather the above information, and put it in your own words.

This is great little formula that works for creating an ebook.
